Remar has been working in India since 2005, providing free of charge support and residential help to women and children living on the margin of society.
The desire to help led us to become involved with divorced women, widows, single mothers and their children, remaining in their lives as advocates for the long term.
This holistic approach ensures that the women and children have shelter, a family unit of support, medical care, nutrition, and access to education.
We have a community life approach and by sharing and living together we make sure that the women and children feel loved as part of a big family, providing sustenance not only for their bodies but for their minds and souls as well.
Our work is carried out by a team of volunteers that render their time and efforts to restore the women and children from stress, pain and mental disorders through counselling and rehabilitation programs. Tasks generally involve providing personalized attention, mentoring, educational support, recreational activities and assisting with daily operations, such as driving, house maintenance, cooking and cleaning.
We work closely with other non-profits and agencies such as Child welfare committee to fulfil the mission of allowing the forgotten women and children to live dignified, healthy and happy lives with bright futures.
Corporate and private financial contributions, goods and services at no cost continue to help the Remar India to run these programs and projects to help women and children.
Our help is also extended to men who are living on the margin of society due to addictions, mainly alcoholism.
